Mission Statement:
It is the mission of Genesis Preschool and Daycare to create a safe, positive, and Christian learning environment for young students within Union County.
We promote care of the whole child by addressing each student’s spiritual, relational, intellectual, emotional and physical growth needs. This is implemented by competent, loving teachers using evidence-based practices.
Program Overview:
Genesis Preschool and Daycare has been developed as a mission of Imbler Christian Church. It is located in the new Imbler Christian Church building in downtown Imbler, Oregon.
Serving families of preschool children from ages 3-5, the preschool is staffed by a head teacher and an assistant teacher. These educators are dedicated to providing education based on Oregon's standards with the goal of preparing students to enter the kindergarten classroom with confidence. The daycare serving children ages 3-6 is also staffed with a head teacher who supports students in academic skills. We promote Christian education, incorporating Biblical lessons and songs into students' daily routines.
Hours:
Preschool: 8:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.
Daycare: 11:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M.

Aidee Setser
Director and Teacher
Aidee has taught for over 20 years, kids of all ages and in various settings. She loves to teach, cook and garden. Her passion is sharing the Gospel with children.
Jaclyn Kilpatrick
Preschool Teacher
As Genesis Preschool's former teacher's aide and the mother of three, Jaclyn brings ample teaching experience and creativity to Genesis Preschool. We are blessed to have her on board!
Anica Blood
Preschool Assistant
Anica has had the opportunity to work with children in VBS, AWANA, and Children's Church. She was part of Christian Youth in Action where she evangelized to children. Anica loves coffee, fishing and her dog Georgia.

Rick Nebeker
Rick is recently retired after 25 years in banking. Rick and his wife Sally along with Luke and Libby volunteer at Youth for Christ, Habitat for Humanity and La Grande Police Department. They enjoy walking, camping and hiking. Rick is also on our Board.

Retired Oregon State Trooper. Formal teacher and school administrator. Loves to fish and hunt.
Rick Denis
Rick dedicated 42 years to public education as an elementary teacher and principal, has a lifetime involvement with Boy Scouts of America and is a faithful servant at Imbler Christian. He loves his family, working in the yard and riding his bicycle.
